This is the first time we've seen a bouncy castle inside the venue!! Not totally surprising though as The Devonshire Dome in Buxton is huge! It was originally built as stables for the Duke of Devonshire and the acoustics are so strange that you can hear conversations from about 30 metres away! Anyway Helena looked gorgeous in her 1950's inspired polka dot dress and her bridesmaids too in their fab red shoes! After the ceremony (in which Helena promised to bake for Ted!) they had afternoon tea in some beautiful mis-matched crockery that they have been collecting for ages!! There was also a stunning cake provided by Wedding Cakes by Carolyn which incorporated the colourful theme of the day. With Ben playing the sax during dinner and a band for the evening, a fab time was had by all. Shame it rained all day but Helena & Ted weren't be put off from a few photos outside! Helena loved the look of the vintage photos - so we have vintaged up the blog but the usual photos can be found in the full gallery at the bottom. Here are just a few from the day....
